OCTheatrical specializes in, but is not limited to, the theatre and event industry. We work globally, partnering with clients & collaborators to deliver the most imaginative and exciting events and spectacles imaginable.
Our clients have ranged from large corporations to small charities, and we understand the need to balance design aspirations with the projects limitations.
Using Our skills with Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, we work with our clients at any stage of their process, from initial concept through to project realization and installation.
In house we can provide full digital modelling, documentation, and 3D printed prototypes as appropriate, and based on the specific needs of each project, we can bring on specialists in other areas from our network of contractors, and suppliers.

April 2012 is where Oli’s full time CAD Career took off, and it was by failing an interview
Having worked his early career as a freelancer moving around production houses in London, gaining experience in Carpentry, Metalwork and Rigging, & Automation, it was down to a couple of quick CAD drawings for a friend in LX that led to him doing CAD full time. Since that Moment, Oli has drawn for stages around the world, and has been involved in installations for Expo 2020, and the delivery of new venues including Soho Place.
Since an Early age Oli has always had a fascination with the workings of theatre and all things tech. A Graduate of the Central School of Speech and Drama, he has worked in a variety of roles across the Theatre, Events & Arts Industry.
Since 2012, he started as a full-time Draughtsman at the National Theatre, Initially on a short term contract, which later turned in to a full time role. It was here he Developed his 2D & 3D CAD/CAM Software Skills, and his fascination in the CAD process.
After Leaving the NT, Oli Continued to focus on Draughting at Illusion Design & Construct, & It Was Here That He Saw The Major Challenges Faced By Commercial Operations Compared With those of Arts Funded Theatres & Institutions.
It was these challenges & experiences over the past decade in the industry, which led to Oli Founding OCTheatrical, and his hope for the company was that it could be an impartial Bridge Between Creative And Commercial Aspirations.
Since The companies founding, Oli continues to work on developing not only his skill but that of those around him, he is a firm believer in openly sharing knowledge for the betterment of the craft.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us were searching for something meaningful.
For me, I found comfort in sharing my thoughts on CAD, its use, and its direction. This podcast became a space to discuss ideas and styles, the challenges we face in the model space, and what excites us about our work.
